ここに武田五郎信光が義盛に遺恨があって不意に押し寄せたが、朝比奈の手並みにかなわず散々に打ち負けて逃げようとするところを、義秀がやにわに草摺を取って引き戻し、討ち取った。
【本文】
これを世間では和田酒盛りの節、曽我五郎と朝比奈の草摺引きと思っているが、和田酒盛りの節は義盛は久安三年に生まれて四十四歳なり。また朝比奈は安元二年に生まれて十八歳也。曽我五郎はこの時二十二歳なりとぞ。

Here, Takeda Gorō Nobumitsu, who bore a grudge against Yoshimori, suddenly attacked, but he could not match Asahina's prowess and was thoroughly defeated. As he tried to flee, Yoshihide suddenly grabbed his kusazuri (armor skirt) and pulled him back, then killed him.
[Main text]
The world thinks this was the kusazuri-pulling incident between Soga Gorō and Asahina at Wada's drinking party, but at the time of Wada's drinking party, Yoshimori was born in the third year of Kyūan and was forty-four years old. Also, Asahina was born in the second year of Angen and was eighteen years old. Soga Gorō was twenty-two years old at that time.
