面々格式尓構なく身上尓応し随分種々
召連高知たりといふ共城下尓てハ或ハ乗
物式は乗馬一事を可用但年若きものは専
羅馬上尤之事

江戸表江供之面々又ハ杖者ニ罷越時分
大身小身共ニ人数分限より軽く可召連
他国江杖者之節は身体相応ニ可召連事
一 屋作之事
新敷作事軽き儀にても無用堂ㇽへし
但無拠儀ハ格別に候破損あらハ修復之致
し様見苦敷ハ不苦事
一 着類之事
高知之面々寄合格其之並々番外迄ハ緒

面々格式にかかわらず身上に応じて、随分軽々と
召し連れ、高知であるといっても城下においては、あるいは乗
物の式は乗馬一つを用いるべし。ただし年若い者は専ら
徒歩が最もよろしいこと

江戸表へ供の面々、または立者に罷り越す時分は
大身小身ともに人数を分限より軽く召し連れるべし

1. Regarding retinue accompaniment for domain members
All members, regardless of rank, should keep their retinues light according to
their station. Even those of high rank, when in the castle town, should use
only one horse for mounted transport. However, young men should primarily
travel on foot, which is most appropriate.
Addendum
When retinue members or messengers travel to Edo,
both high and low ranking officials should take fewer attendants than their
status would normally permit. When traveling as messengers to other domains,
the retinue should be appropriate to one's status.

New construction work, even minor projects, is prohibited
However, unavoidable circumstances are exceptional. If there is damage, repairs
should be made, and if it does not look unsightly, it is acceptable.
