心さし迄に軽く可致執行私宅にていとなみ
候とも料理等定之品に可任事

香奠は忌を請候者幷舅聟ハ心次第に
仕其外ハ無用之事
一 奉加之事
前々より停止候猶以奉加に似より候事共
に一切取扱ひ致ましき事
右之通相心得追而差図有之迄ハ堅可相守候
近年家中上下共ニ勝手困窮之段相聞甚
気之毒ニ候へ共当時手当等可申付様無之候先
年ゟ度々申付候得共就中今度吉邦公被
仰出趣を以申付候何卒勝手取続無別事奉
公致し候ハヽ可為欣然且面々家内ゆたかに諸
民安候様に存故ニ候然は此旨能々可致承知候品
多ニ間書面に不相見儀候ハヽ面々覚悟を以他
をかへりみす何分にも致簡略取続可相勤候
末々に至るまて是に准し可申付候累年油
断ハ有之間敷候へ共若存違輩も可有之歟

心ばかりに軽く執行すべし。私宅において営む
場合も料理等は定めの品に任せること。

香典は忌中を請け負う者並びに舅・婿は心次第に
するが、その他は無用のこと
一 奉加の事
以前より停止している。なおさら奉加に似た事柄についても
一切取り扱いをしてはならないこと
右の通り心得て、追って指図があるまでは堅く相守るべし
近年、家中上下共に家計困窮の段、聞き及んでいる。甚だ
気の毒ではあるが、当時手当等を申し付ける手段がない。先
年より度々申し付けているが、とりわけ今度吉邦公が
仰せ出された趣旨をもって申し付ける。何とか家計を取り続け、無事に奉
公をするならば喜ばしいことである。かつ各々の家内が豊かになり、諸
民が安らかになるよう存ずるからである。しかるにこの旨をよくよく承知すべき事柄が
多いため、書面に記載されていない儀があれば、各々の覚悟をもって他人
を顧みず、何分にも簡略にして家計を取り続け、勤めるべし。
末々に至るまでこれに準じて申し付けるべし。長年の
油断はあるまじきことだが、もしや考え違いをする輩もあるだろうか。

Execute modestly with only sincere intentions. Even when conducting at private residences,
for food and other matters, adhere to the designated standards.
Addendum
For incense offerings, those who undertake mourning duties and fathers-in-law/sons-in-law may act
according to their discretion, but for all others it is unnecessary.
1. Regarding donations/contributions
These have been prohibited from before. Even more so, anything resembling donations
shall not be handled at all.
The above should be understood, and until further instructions are given, must be strictly observed.
In recent years, it has been reported that both high and low ranking members of the household are experiencing financial difficulties. This is most
regrettable, but at present there are no means to provide financial assistance. Though
this has been ordered repeatedly from previous years, this time in particular it is ordered according to the intent
expressed by Lord Yoshikuni. If somehow household finances can be maintained and service rendered
without incident, it would be most gratifying. Moreover, I wish for each household to become prosperous and all
people to live in peace. Therefore, there are many matters regarding this intent that should be thoroughly understood.
If there are matters not covered in this document, each person should act with determination, not
looking to others, and by all means practice frugality to maintain their household finances and fulfill their duties.
This should be applied down to the lowest ranks. Though there should be no
negligence over the years, perhaps there may be some who misunderstand?
