（前頁より続く）…石垣が多く崩れ、武家屋敷・町家ともに破損が多かった。相模国小田原は他の地域よりも被害が強く、民家が破損・倒壊した。箱根山が崩れて道路が塞がれた。同時に各所で火災が発生し、多くの人が死亡した。海辺へ逃げた者は津波によって死亡した。
宝永元年（三月に改元）八月四日、江戸およびその近国で洪水。利根川・八条川・中川・綾瀬川・荒川が増水し、下総国葛飾郡〔猿股（さるがま□）〕が溢れて堤が崩れ、大地が数丈にわたって陥没した。田畑の損失が多く、また多くの人が死亡した。
同三年（宝永三年・1706年）九月十五日、江戸で大地震。

Odawara in Sagami Province suffered more severely than other regions, with commoners' houses damaged and destroyed. Hakone mountain collapsed, blocking the roads. Simultaneously, fires broke out in various places and many people died. Those who fled to the coast perished in the tsunami.
The fourth day of the eighth month of the first year of Hōei [the era name having been changed in the third month, 1704 CE]: flooding in Edo and the surrounding provinces. The Tone River, Hachijō River, Nakagawa River, Ayase River, and Ara River rose to great heights; in Katsushika District of Shimōsa Province, [the Sarugama area], the rivers overflowed and the embankments collapsed, the ground sank by several jō in places, causing great losses to fields and farmland, and many people also perished.
