現代語訳
（前頁より続く）…天が晴れて明るい太陽が現れ、人々はようやく安堵した。同じく二十五日よりまた空が曇り、砂が降り、地震が起こって辺りは暗くなった。同じく二十八日に至って天が晴れ、通常通りの状態に戻った。
享保八年（1723年）十一月二十日より十二月にかけて、九州で大地震が起きた。
同十年（1725年）九月二十五日、長崎で大地震が起こり、昼夜を問わず八十余度（の余震）が続いた。
同十一年（1726年）二月二十九日、越前国勝山領にて津波・大風雨・地震が発生し、民家や田畑を水没させ、泥水が湧き出して平地は大河のようになり、人民や牛馬が多く溺死した。
宝暦元年（1751年）〔十一月に改元〕二月二十九日、京都で大地震が起きた。このころ北国では赤い雪が降った。
同年四月二十五日、越後国高田で大地震が起こり、酉の刻より丑の刻まで三十余度（の揺れ）があり、山が崩れ、民家が倒れ、死亡した者はおよそ一万六（千…次頁へ続く）

(Continued from previous page) ...the sky cleared and the bright sun appeared, and people were at last able to feel at ease. However, from the twenty-fifth day of the same month, the sky clouded over again, sand rained down, earthquakes struck, and the surroundings grew dark once more. Then, on the twenty-eighth day of the same month, the sky finally cleared and conditions returned to normal.
From the twentieth day of the eleventh month of the eighth year of Kyōhō [1723 CE] through the twelfth month, a great earthquake struck Kyushu.
On the twenty-fifth day of the ninth month of the tenth year of Kyōhō [1725 CE], a great earthquake struck Nagasaki, with more than eighty tremors occurring both day and night.
On the twenty-ninth day of the second month of the eleventh year of Kyōhō [1726 CE], in the Katsuyama domain of Echizen Province, there occurred a tsunami, violent winds and rain, and earthquakes. People's homes and farmlands were inundated, muddy water welled up from the ground, and the flatlands became like a great river. Many people, cattle, and horses drowned.
On the twenty-ninth day of the second month of the first year of Hōreki [1751 CE] [the era name was changed in the eleventh month], a great earthquake struck Kyoto. Around this time, red snow fell in the northern provinces.
On the twenty-fifth day of the fourth month of the same year, a great earthquake struck Takada in Echigo Province. From the hour of the Rooster to the hour of the Ox, there were more than thirty tremors; mountains collapsed, people's houses fell, and those who perished numbered approximately sixteen thousand...
