現代語訳
平地より低く深くして植え、徐々に糞土を加えていく。そうすれば水を嫌うので、糞を敷いて流れないようにし、固めすぎないよう後まで少なく踏み固める。糞水が溜まってよい。灰糞水、小便が適している。苗の時、虫が好んで食害するので、掘り去るべきである。

Plant in areas lower and deeper than flat ground, gradually adding manure and soil. Since they dislike water, spread manure as bedding so it doesn't flow away, and tamp down lightly until the end so as not to compact too much. It's good for manure water to accumulate. Ash manure water and urine are suitable. When they are seedlings, insects like to eat them, so these should be dug out and removed.
