            大橋左渓 右之外御坊主古参ゟ昇進御茶方数名 名高き初花の御茶入を初種々重宝の 御道具類悉皆預り取扱御茶は宇治堀 正法御用を達せり             杉浦一渓               雄蔵 右諸物頭嫡席迄累遷昇進在りしが 生質多能之先生に而武は弓術之古者に至り 能は四曲の笛に長し花は遠州流之極意 を究め《割書:是は又| 別部に出す》中にも茶道は格別にて身分 之業躰に隔る〳〵数多之雅輩入門を乞ひ 皆相伝を請しより一時盛の流行となり 平常無雅と見し人も寄之服紗を懐中 する様になれり然るに其後次第に煎茶の 流行隆になるに随ひ重代秘蔵之名器 等も廃物之すがたと成遺憾至極と思ひしが 又近頃寄々会席を催さるゝ雅連もある よし実に歓ばしき事なり前書に述る如く 乱世殺伐の巷にも保養となりて伝わり

大橋左渓 右の外、御坊主の古参より昇進した御茶方が数名いた。 名高い初花の御茶入をはじめ、種々の重宝である 御道具類をすべて預かり取り扱い、御茶は宇治の堀 正法が御用を達成していた。             杉浦一渓               雄蔵 右の人は諸物頭の嫡席まで累進昇進があったが、 生来多能の先生で、武は弓術の古流に至るまで、 能は四曲の笛に長け、花は遠州流の極意 を究めた《割注:これはまた別部に記す》中でも茶道は格別で、身分 の職業を問わず多くの風雅な人々が入門を請い、 皆相伝を受けたため、一時盛んな流行となり、 平常は風雅でないと見られていた人も茶の袱紗を懐中 するようになった。しかしながら、その後次第に煎茶の 流行が盛んになるに従い、重代秘蔵の名器 等も廃物の姿となり、遺憾至極と思ったが、 また近頃しばしば会席を催される風雅な連中もいる とのことで、実に喜ばしいことである。前に書いた通り、 乱世殺伐の巷にも保養となって伝わり、

They handled and managed all the precious tea utensils, including the famous Hatsuhana tea caddy and various other treasured implements, and Hori Shōhō from Uji fulfilled the official tea duties.
