一 南越雑話 一 同 後編 一 越武雑談 一 明君言動録 一 中部卒師日録 一 諸士先祖書  大坂御陣覚書 一 南越雑誌 一 名勝志 右書目を初総而之古書類并近世現今に至迄 雑俗に不限著述編輯文章雑誌心覚 手留日記所有書類後世心得に可相成事々 無洩捜索福井絵図と倶に永世末々迄 温故社之什宝に備置折々展覧之節陳 列し平常共社中を初出納之規則を厳にし 悉皆披見心得居爾後変遷之景況を熟知し 時態開化之模様を覚り自ら温故知新之 趣意に叶ふ様にと尽力希望する事に候 右は元来福井一般之為め歴代亀鑑蔵書に備置 儀に候故無遺漏写取申度若有志之御方々 御賛成御寄附相成におゐては重畳之至り左も

一、南越雑話 一、同 後編 一、越武雑談 一、明君言動録 一、中部卒師日録 一、諸士先祖書 大坂御陣覚書 一、南越雑誌 一、名勝志 右の書目を初めとして、総ての古書類並びに近世現今に至るまでの雑俗に限らない著述編輯文章雑誌心覚、手留日記、所有書類で後世の心得に相成るべき事々を、洩れなく捜索し、福井絵図と共に永世末々まで温故社の什宝に備え置き、折々展覧の節に陳列し、平常も社中を初め出納の規則を厳にして、悉皆披見して心得ておき、爾後変遷の景況を熟知し、時態開化の模様を覚り、自ら温故知新の趣意に叶うようにと尽力希望することに候。 右は元来福井一般のため、歴代亀鑑の蔵書に備え置く儀に候故、遺漏なく写し取り申したく、若し有志の御方々の御賛成御寄附相成るにおいては、重畳の至り、左も

Meishō-shi (Record of famous places) Beginning with the above book titles, we shall search exhaustively for all ancient books as well as writings, compilations, essays, miscellaneous records, memoranda, personal diaries, and owned documents from recent times up to the present that are not limited to common matters but could serve as guidance for future generations. Together with maps of Fukui, these shall be preserved as treasures of the Onko-sha (Historical Society) for all eternity. They shall be displayed during occasional exhibitions, and normally strict rules for handling and storage shall be maintained within the society. All materials shall be thoroughly examined and understood so that we may fully comprehend the circumstances of subsequent changes, learn about the state of enlightenment and development of the times, and strive to fulfill the principle of "learning from the past to understand the new." The above is originally intended to serve the general benefit of Fukui and to be preserved in the collection as a mirror for successive generations.
