英語訳

The Emperor's Imperial Envoy proclaims that His Majesty bestows silk fabrics (縀疋綵帛) upon the king and queen of your nation. The protocol official guides the king up the eastern steps, with the legal official following. When the king reaches the position for receiving gifts and kneels, music is performed. The Imperial Envoy takes the silk fabrics bestowed upon the king and queen and personally presents them to the king one by one. The king raises them high, and the legal official kneels to receive them and places them on the table. After this is completed, the king prostrates, rises, and stands at ease. The protocol official guides the king back to his position, where he leads the assembled officials in performing the three kneelings and nine kowtows ceremony of grateful acknowledgment for the gifts. After this concludes, they stand at ease and the music stops. The protocol official guides the king up the eastern steps to the front of the Dragon Pavilion, where he kneels and inquires after His Majesty's health with "May the Sacred Person enjoy ten thousand blessings." The Imperial Envoy replies, "The Sacred Person enjoys ten thousand blessings." The king prostrates, rises, and stands at ease, and music is performed. The protocol official guides the king back to his position, where he leads the assembled officials in performing the three kneelings and nine kowtows ceremony of inquiring after well-being. After this concludes, they stand at ease and the music stops. The protocol official guides the king up the eastern steps to the front of the incense table, where he kneels and requests to retain the edict and imperial decree as treasures to be passed down through generations. The legal official presents previous edicts and imperial decrees for verification. The Imperial Envoy examines and confirms them, then grants the request. He takes the edict and imperial decree from the pavilion and personally presents them to the king. The king stands at ease and still reverently places them in the pavilion. Music is performed, and the protocol official guides the king back to his position, where he leads the assembled officials in performing the three kneelings and nine kowtows ceremony of grateful acknowledgment. After this concludes, the king requests that the Imperial Envoy change clothes, and together they proceed to the Northern Palace where they bow to each other and sit peacefully, presenting tea. Everything follows the previous ceremony, with music featuring human voices above and bells and drums arranged below the dais, performing in alternation for the second banquet. Investiture Edict
