此無人嶋ハ延宝三年肥前国長崎ニ於テ唐舩仕立ノ舩ヲ造

という。○木には根本にて一抱え（ひとかかえ）ほどあって高さが三十余尋の堅木がある。これは珍しいものとすべきである。また棕櫚に似て甚だ高い木がある。椰子の木、檳榔木、白欒子、ガジュマルの木、栴檀の木、榎の木、樟の木、山柿、藤の葉に似た大木、桂の木、桑の木等である。○草には山帰来、当帰に似た草、丸葉の朝顔等である。○鳥にはインコに似た鳥、五位鷺に似た鳥、バンに似た鳥、白鴎に似て大きさ三尺余りの大鳥等である。すべてこの島の鳥は皆素手にして捕らえられるという。○石には明礬、緑礬、五色石、菊花石、この外異石が多い。○海産には鯨、大海老、大牡蠣、海胆等である。右の外にも産品はなお多い。
