その国の西方と北方に二つの長江がある。すなわち朝鮮の地境が尽きるところである。この両江の中間に白登山、長白山等の大山があって地勢を隔てるため、中国本土と陸地の通路はないと言われているが、その実は遼東と地続きであって離れ島ではない。
その国の両都というのは京畿道の王城と慶尚道の晋州である。○国を八道に分けることは次の通りである。
京畿道（ケンキタイ）二十八の管轄区域 四牧、九府、八郡、五令、十二監、六駅、六堡、海水軍判官二人、番船九艘、中船九艘、水使一人、検使一人、万戸二人。
