これは中国製の物で、満洲、樺太を経由して
蝦夷地に来るものである。世間で蝦夷錦と呼ばれているものがまさにこれである
袖口を四、五寸折り返して着るのである。これを馬脚（マアキヤ）と言う
これは韃靼の風俗で、現在の中国でも皆このような仕立てである

This is a Chinese product that comes to Ezo via Manchuria and Karafuto (Sakhalin). What is commonly called "Ezo brocade" is precisely this.
They wear it with the cuff turned back four or five sun. This is called "horse leg" (maakiya).
This is a Tatar custom, and even present-day China uses this same style.
