酒楼で女性を救ったのは、色欲のためではない。寺の境内で肉や酒を味わったけれども、戒律を守る僧の樒の香の臭さより十倍も清らかである。仁王像の赤い体を見ては、一緒になって笑いからかった。菜園で柳の木を抜いては、大根よりもはるかに軽やかに扱う。戯れの中でも自然と世間の人々を恐れさせる。善いかな、この人よ。
