《割書：天罡星三十六員之内 天速星》神行太保戴宗
この人物は江州の押牢の節級である。神行太保というあだ名というのは、公私の急用がある時は、二つの甲馬を腿に結び、神行の法を用いて走ることで、卯の刻から酉の刻まで五百余里、四つの甲馬を用いて走る時は八百余里の脚力があることを、皆が知っているからである。流人である宋公明が常例銭の銭穴から零れ落ちて、広く水滸の交わりを初めて東京へ飛脚として向かう途中、呉用に出会い、宋公明を助けるための偽の返事を持って江州に帰ったが、千慮の一失で印から漏れて、黄文炳に見破られ、宋公明と共に処刑場でまさに首が落ちようとする時、晁蓋、呉用らが危急を救い、万死を逃れて水泊に身の安全を図った。足で届ける功績のみならず、知謀を駆使して義友を救い豪友を助けることは、東西南北限りがない。
