界（さかひ）なる。酒屋（さかや）に慢（ほこつ）て。不過岡（ふくわかう）などいふ㓻酒（おにころし）を
飽（あく）まで飲（のん）で足蹌々（あしよろ〳〵）。景陽岡（けいやうかう）の半（はん）■（ぷく）【山+复】に至（いたれ）ば
天（そら）は晡（さる）をすぎて雞目（とりめ）ならねど眼中（がんちう）巴〃（ちよろ〳〵）。指（ゆび）
もて睫（まつげ）を㧲（そ）と弾（はじ）き。晴（し？み）を鎮（すへ）て盵（き）と覙（みれ）ば。
この岡上（かうしやう）に大蟲（とら）在（あり）て。
人（ひと）を傷（そこの）ふ断文（ことわりがき）。読（よみ）も了（おわ）らず打笑（うちわらひ）。

景陽岡
故郷を思い、柴進宋公に別れを告げて、陽谷県の境にある酒屋で威張って、「不過岡」などという強い酒を思う存分飲んで、足がふらつきながら景陽岡の中腹に至ると、空は申の刻を過ぎて酉の刻ではないが、目の中がちらちらする。指で睫毛をそっと弾き、酔いを鎮めてきっと見れば、この岡の上に虎がいて人を傷つけるという警告の張り紙。読み終わらないうちに苦笑いし、虻や蜂ほども恐れずに登っていくと、峰から吹き下ろしてくる怪しい風。日が暮れ果てた林を踏み分けて、咆哮して出てきた

Jingyang Ridge
Thinking of his hometown and bidding farewell to Lord Chai Jin, at a tavern on the border of Yanggu County, he boasted and drank his fill of strong liquor called "Bu Guo Gang" (Don't Cross the Ridge), and with unsteady steps reached the middle of Jingyang Ridge. Though the sky had passed the hour of the Monkey but had not yet reached the hour of the Rooster, his vision flickered. He gently flicked his eyelashes with his finger, and when he steadied his drunkenness and looked intently, he saw a warning notice that there was a tiger on this ridge that injured people. Without finishing reading it, he laughed derisively, and fearing it no more than wasps or bees, he climbed up. A strange wind came blowing down from the peak. Pushing through the forest where day had completely ended, a tiger came out roaring.

The great tiger - he caught it! With a great shout, he spread his arms wide, grabbed both ears, and kicked it down with his right foot. The tiger fell against the rocks, and its roaring voice was exactly like falling thunder. Wu Song breathed on his fists and continued to strike sixty or seventy times.
