現代語訳

上意があり、老中が御取合い申し上げて御次へ退座した。その時老中が召され、具志川を御前へ差し出すべき旨を仰せ出された。御次において、御諚の趣を薩摩守へ老中が達した。

ただし、具志川の御礼の間、薩摩守は御襖の外に控えて罷り在った。

一、中山王より献上された品々は、出御以前より南の板縁に東西に

There was an imperial command, and the rōjū (senior councilors) made arrangements and withdrew to the antechamber. At that time, the rōjū were summoned and ordered to bring Gushikawa before His Lordship. In the antechamber, the rōjū conveyed the purport of the lord's command to Satsuma-no-kami.

However, during Gushikawa's formal thanks, Satsuma-no-kami waited in attendance outside the sliding doors.
