現代語訳

将軍の代替わりの件について、お祝いを
申し上げるため、今度使者として具志川
王子を目録の通り献上いたします。
御前に召し出していただき、
お喜びの様子をお示しいただいた件、なお松平
薩摩守より申し述べさせていただきます。恐れながら
謹んで申し上げます。

Regarding the matter of the shogunal succession, in order to
offer our congratulations, we are sending Prince Gushikawa
as an envoy this time, presenting gifts as listed in the catalog.
We are grateful that he was summoned before your presence
and that you showed your pleasure at this occasion. Matsudaira
Satsuma-no-kami will convey further details. With great respect,
I humbly submit this.
