それから両国の川端に芝居を建てて、浄瑠璃や狂言で忠臣蔵を始めたところ、とてつもなく見物客が入ってくる。四つ過ぎ（午後10時過ぎ）には切落し（最下級の観覧席）の札売りも、切れ間もないほどの札を出して、とんでもないことになった。

After 4 o'clock (after 10 PM), even the ticket sales for the kiriotoshi (the cheapest viewing seats) were selling tickets continuously without pause - it became quite extraordinary.
