右探源寺様御病中長々之間好相勤御看病仕御満足に被思召候旨探源寺様被仰置候由於本多四郎右衛門方宅同人方

御褒詞之事
一元禄十五午五月十一日郡奉行田中条左衛門相達候
平尾村彦左衛門娘両人柴商に出智照院扶持手形を拾ひ
翌日智照院屋敷へ致持参候に付為褒美鳥目弐百文給候由
申候右之趣御家老中へ相達候処金銀之儀に候はゝ御褒美被下置儀も有之候得共手形之儀は名書も有之物に候得は御褒美には不及候間律
儀に出候段誉候様にと被申聞候」但右之手形は則此間御触有之候落し候手形之由
一享保十一午正月十九日今度御国目付中御用掛り之面々へ於御座所御褒美有之尤未々迄有之
一同十六亥三月十五日今度侍中御番改に付左之通書付修理方半右衛門へ被相渡之寄々申通候
御勘略に付御褒美被下候儀被止置候然共御先々代ゟ之勤之儀に候故此度御番改被仰付御褒美被下置旨
一元文三午九月十一日評定所四郡奉行へ」支配下百姓共之内一村皆済百姓此人数千五百五十三人為御褒美俵数弐百俵被下
置之惣百姓之内人別皆済仕候者此人数八百五十弐人為御褒美俵数百俵被下置之
右近年在々困窮仕候処右之者共五十年来御年貢皆済仕段達御聴神妙奇特に被思召候御時節柄候之事に候故
乍少々右之通御褒美被下置候」御勘定所へ組頭共呼出し皆済百姓共へ右之趣覚書を以御奉行千本藤左衛門申渡候様

御先与力共近年御本丸御住居に相成候処困窮
相勤一段之事に候此段申渡候様被仰出候

一組の者等の孝心などによる御褒美を下された儀は、四民之部に出ている。
一大火の節の出精による御褒詞の儀は、天災之部火事に付く品々の条に出ている。
一、正徳元年卯十月二十九日

右の者は、探源寺様御病中の長々の間、よく相勤め御看病仕り、御満足に思し召される候旨、探源寺様が仰せ置かれた由、本多四郎右衛門方宅において同人から申し渡された。その節堤安左衛門が罷り出た。
御坊主九人
右の者は、探源寺様へ御念入りによく相勤め、御機嫌に思し召される候旨仰せ置かれた由、申し聞くべき旨を四郎右衛門から岡三郎右衛門に申し渡された。
一、弘化元年辰正月十六日、昨年江戸表神田橋御普請に付き掛かりの面々
御褒詞の事
一、元禄十五年午五月十一日、郡奉行田中条左衛門が相達したのは、
平尾村彦左衛門娘両人が柴商いに出て智照院扶持手形を拾い、
翌日智照院屋敷へ持参したので、褒美として鳥目二百文を給した由
申した。右の趣を御家老中へ相達した処、金銀の儀であれば御褒美を下し置かれる儀もあるが、手形の儀は名書きもある物であるから御褒美には及ばず、律義に出た段を誉めるようにと申し聞かされた。」但し右の手形は、則ちこの間御触れがあった落とした手形の由。
一、享保十一年午正月十九日、今度御国目付中御用掛かりの面々へ御座所において御褒美があった。もっとも未々まで有り。
一、同十六年亥三月十五日、今度侍中御番改めにつき左の通り書付を修理方半右衛門へ相渡し、寄々申し通した。
御倹約により御褒美を下される儀は止め置かれているが、御先々代からの勤めの儀であるので、この度御番改めを仰せ付けられ御褒美を下し置かれる旨。
一、元文三年午九月十一日、評定所から四郡奉行へ」支配下百姓共の内、一村皆済百姓この人数千五百五十三人へ御褒美として俵数二百俵を下し置き、惣百姓の内人別皆済仕った者この人数八百五十二人へ御褒美として俵数百俵を下し置いた。
右は近年在々困窮仕っている処、右の者共が五十年来御年貢皆済仕った段が達御聴、神妙奇特に思し召される。御時節柄の事であるので、少々ながら右の通り御褒美を下し置かれた。」御勘定所へ組頭共を呼び出し、皆済百姓共へ右の趣覚書を以て御奉行千本藤左衛門が申し渡すよう、御家老中が申し聞かされた。

相勤め一段の事である。この段申し渡すよう仰せ出された。

1. On the 11th day of the 5th month of Genroku 15, year of the horse, District Magistrate Tanaka Jōzaemon reported:
Two daughters of Hikoemon from Hirao village, while out selling firewood, found a stipend certificate from Chishōin temple and brought it to Chishōin temple residence the next day. For this, they were given 200 mon as a reward.
When this matter was reported to the senior councilors, they said that if it were gold or silver, a reward might be granted, but since the certificate bears someone's name, no reward is necessary - only praise for their honest behavior." Note: This certificate was apparently one that had been lost, as announced in a recent public notice.
1. On the 19th day of the 1st month of Kyōhō 11, year of the horse, rewards were granted at the lord's quarters to those involved in domain inspector duties. This continued for some time.
1. On the 15th day of the 3rd month of the 16th year, year of the boar, regarding the current guard inspection among samurai, the following document was given to Shuri-kata Han'emon and communicated to various parties:
Although rewards have been suspended due to economy measures, since this concerns duties from the time of previous lords, guard inspection is ordered this time and rewards are granted.

On the 11th day of the 9th month of Genbun 3, year of the horse, from the Council to the four district magistrates: Among the peasants under their jurisdiction, 1,553 peasants who completed full village tax payments were granted 200 bales of rice as reward, and 852 individual peasants who completed their tax payments were granted 100 bales of rice as reward.
Although rural areas have been impoverished in recent years, these people have completed their annual tax payments for fifty years, which has reached His Lordship's attention and is considered admirable and remarkable. Given the current circumstances, though modest, the above rewards are granted." The senior councilors ordered that group leaders be summoned to the accounting office, and Magistrate Senbon Tōzaemon should convey this to the tax-completing peasants with a memorandum.
