一御使番格合以上之御役は其者へ御直々被仰付凡新知加増知被下候節と次第同前也

　役付之御礼申上候節御家老中御取合夫ゟ隠居被仰付候者罷出御礼申上尤帯剱御家老中御
　取合有之右御前御用之節御家老中出席候刻前後共御用人案内有之筈
　　但御用に而被為召候者煩等に而難致出勤候節は一類名代罷出ル然ル時は御家老中被申渡候故右
　　　名代は平服に而罷出ル筈
　　一御前御用被仰付候節も式日之外は御目付平服
一御在江戸之節御使番格式以上之御役番組之内ゟ被仰付時は番頭差加被申渡夫ゟ以下番
　組之内に而相勤役儀は役儀之品により或は奏者番或は御奉行御目付等之内指加被申渡之
　　但江戸御留守之節御番組之内に而も軽役儀は各吟味之上前広不及相伺由御意之旨
一於御家老中宅御役替被仰付候得は其番頭奉行中抔へ月番御目付ゟ為知候也
一御役替御家老中被申渡候得は其趣書付早速入御覧
一組支配有之御役替被仰付候得は双方組引渡之儀御目付ゟ夫々可及通達候事

現代語訳

御役を申し付けられることについて　四民の部・諸士雑記の条を見合わせるべきこと

一、御使番格式以上の御役は、その者へ御直接申し付けられる。概ね新知・加増知を下される節と次第は同前である

一、御在国中　御前において御役替えを申し付けられる節は、御本丸鉄砲の間・御敷居際まで出向く。御座所御囲いの間も同断である《ただし当時鉄砲の御間定座番外以上は御二の間御敷居内へ入る。役番外以下は同御敷居際へ出向く【朱書】御意同上》。御家老中が御取り合い御礼を申し上げた後、未の番外以上は脇指を帯びて出向く。御番組は脇指を鉄砲の間御次において取って出向く。御役替えが済んで御番頭・御番組・御役付が御礼を申し上げる節、御家老中が御取り合い、それから隠居を申し付けられた者が出向いて御礼を申し上げる。もっとも帯剱し、御家老中の御取り合いがある。右の御前御用の節、御家老中が出席する刻、前後共に御用人の案内があるはずである
　　ただし御用で召され候者が煩い等で出勤し難い節は、一類の名代が出向く。そうする時は御家老中が申し渡すため、右の名代は平服で出向くはずである
　　一、御前御用を申し付けられる節も式日の外は御目付は平服

一、御在江戸の節、御使番格式以上の御役を番組の内から申し付けられる時は、番頭を差し加えて申し渡し、それ以下で番組の内において相勤める役儀は、役儀の品により或いは奏者番或いは御奉行・御目付等の内に指し加えて申し渡される
　　ただし江戸御留守の節、御番組の内でも軽役儀は各々吟味の上、前広に相伺う必要はないとの御意の旨

一、御家老中宅において御役替えを申し付けられれば、その番頭・奉行中などへ月番御目付から知らせる

一、御役替えを御家老中が申し渡せば、その趣旨を書付にして早速御覧に入れる

一、組支配のある御役替えを申し付けられれば、双方の組の引き渡しのことは御目付からそれぞれに通達すべきこと

Article 1: For official positions of messenger guard rank and above, appointments are made directly to the individual. Generally, the procedure is the same as when granting new stipends or additional stipends.

Article 1: During the lord's residence in the domain, when position changes are appointed before the lord, one should appear up to the threshold of the gun chamber in the main castle. The same applies to the enclosed chamber of the lord's quarters《However, currently for the gun chamber, regular seated guards of outer rank and above enter within the threshold of the second chamber. Role guards of outer rank and below appear at the same threshold【Red writing】same lord's will as above》. After the senior councilors conduct the ceremonial reception, those of outer guard rank and above appear wearing short swords. Guard units take their short swords at the gun chamber anteroom before appearing. After position changes are completed, when guard captains, guard units, and officials offer their respects, the senior councilors conduct the reception, and then those ordered to retire appear and offer their respects. They should wear swords, and the senior councilors conduct the reception. For the above official business before the lord, when senior councilors attend, there should be guidance from chamberlains both before and after.
　　However, when those summoned for official business find it difficult to attend due to illness etc., a family representative appears. In such cases, as the senior councilors make the announcement, the representative should appear in plain clothes.
　　Article 1: Even when appointed to official business before the lord, inspectors wear plain clothes except on ceremonial days.

Article 1: During residence in Edo, when positions of messenger guard rank and above are appointed from within guard units, guard captains are added to make the announcement. For positions below that served within guard units, depending on the type of role, they are added to presenters, magistrates, inspectors, etc., and announced accordingly.
　　However, during the Edo caretaker period, even light duties within guard units need not be inquired about in advance after individual examination, according to the lord's will.

Article 1: When position changes are appointed at senior councilors' residences, the monthly duty inspector informs the guard captains, magistrates, etc.
