栄五郎八月十六日家督被仰付候処御趣意之通相身体未之頭へ下り候事此度
家督席下ケ之始也
一文政二卯閏四月十二日新番藤間復馬致病死候処文化七午十二月十一日家督被仰付
今年迄拾年に相成候兼而拾年未満に候得は席下ケ被仰付候御内定に候得共席下ケ
不被仰付候仍之已後は拾年に相成候はゝ是迄之通に可被仰付哉と江戸表へ伺に相成候処
同五月廿五日立飛脚に伺相済其通被仰出候旨江戸表ゟ申来候
但九年目極月晦日に而も席下ケ十年目之正月に相成候得は席下ケ不相成候事
右大崎七太夫留書之趣也
一文政十一子正月御内御右筆樋口貞助申聞候趣左之通
御近習番御右筆相勤候者は格別と申儀は年数に不拘其家之諸代之内に而右之
両役相勤候者有之候得は席下ケ不被仰付候筈尤百年以前と申儀は順席被仰付候而百
年相立候得は席下ケ無之筈之旨

一享保二酉二月八日今度本多孫太郎死去に付大蔵方年若にも有之御仕置旁之儀松平主馬本多民部両人可致相談旨被仰付
右之段は当分之儀之由猶委細留有之 但此時大蔵方弐拾七歳也
一同十三申十月十三日本多万之助方宅へ御家老中不残被罷越家督無相違被仰付府中其侭御預被成候間仕置等可
申付候旨本多縫殿方被申渡畢而幼年に付後見本多修理方へ被仰付候由是又被申渡候段右之趣拙者共
承置候様翌日縫殿方月番儀左衛門へ被申聞候 但大蔵方死去之砌家来へ被申渡之儀有之御停止之条に附す
一文政五午年御用人渡辺十郎左衛門江戸表に而病死仮養子無之家断絶為名跡笹治兵庫
次男来吉へ弐百石被下置定座番外嫡席に被仰付
右御家老中御宅に而御取扱有之
一同年三沢熊五郎御暇被下家断絶弟助次郎へ拾五人ふち被下置候

現代語訳
また十一年目の代替わりの場合は席下げを仰せ付けられないこと
○一、十年目の大晦日までは席下げを仰せ付け、十一年の元日より席下げご免のこと
△一、順席であっても百年以前からの順席の者、或いは御近習番御右筆等を相勤めた者は格別、そうでもない者は十年の内に代替わりがあった場合は相身体へ仰せ付けられるべきこと
一、文化十二亥年大御番順席古石助五郎家督から九年目病死、よって病中養子栄五郎八月十六日家督を仰せ付けられたところ、御趣意の通り相身体未の頭へ下りました。この度の家督席下げの始まりです。
一、文政二卯閏四月十二日新番藤間復馬が病死したところ、文化七午十二月十一日家督を仰せ付けられ、今年まで十年になります。かねて十年未満の場合は席下げを仰せ付けられる御内定でしたが、席下げを仰せ付けられませんでした。よって以後は十年になった場合はこれまでの通りに仰せ付けられるのかと江戸表へ伺いを立てたところ、同五月二十五日立飛脚で伺いが済み、その通り仰せ出された旨を江戸表より申し来ました。
ただし九年目極月晦日でも席下げ、十年目の正月になった場合は席下げにならないこと
右は大崎七太夫留書の趣旨です
一、文政十一子正月御内御右筆樋口貞助が申し聞かせた趣旨は左の通り
御近習番御右筆を相勤めた者は格別と申すのは、年数に関わらずその家の諸代の内でこの両役を相勤めた者があった場合は席下げを仰せ付けられない筈。もっとも百年以前と申すのは順席を仰せ付けられて百年が経った場合は席下げがない筈の旨

一、享保二酉二月八日、この度本多孫太郎死去につき、大蔵方年若でもあり御仕置き方の儀、松平主馬本多民部両人で相談致すべき旨を仰せ付けられました
右の段は当分の儀との由、なお委細は留書があります ただしこの時大蔵方二十七歳です
一、同十三申十月十三日本多万之助方宅へ御家老中残らず罷り越し、家督相違なく仰せ付け、府中そのまま御預けになったので仕置き等を申し付けるべき旨を本多縫殿方へ申し渡し終わって、幼年につき後見を本多修理方へ仰せ付けられた由、これもまた申し渡された段、右の趣旨を私共承り置くよう翌日縫殿方月番儀左衛門へ申し聞かせました ただし大蔵方死去の砌、家来へ申し渡しの儀があり、御停止の条に附します
一、文政五午年御用人渡辺十郎左衛門江戸表にて病死、仮養子なく家断絶、名跡のため笹治兵庫次男来吉へ二百石をお与え置き、定座番外嫡席に仰せ付けられました

一、同年三沢熊五郎御暇をお与えになり家断絶、弟助次郎へ十五人扶持をお与え置かれました

Also, if succession occurs in the eleventh year, seat demotion shall not be decreed.

△1. Even among those with sequential seats, those who have held sequential seats from a hundred years ago, or those who have served as御近習番 (personal attendants) or scribes are exceptional; others who have succession within ten years shall be appointed to相身体 rank.
1. In Bunka 12, boar year, Furuishi Sukegoro of the great guard sequential seat died of illness in the ninth year after succession, so his adoptive son during illness, Eigoro, was decreed succession on August 16th, whereupon according to the intent, he was demoted to the head of the preliminary相身体 rank. This was the beginning of succession seat demotion.
1. On the intercalary 4th month, 12th day of Bunsei 2, rabbit year, Toma Fukuma of the new guard died of illness. He had been granted succession on December 11th of Bunka 7, horse year, making this year exactly ten years. Although there was an internal decision that seat demotion would be decreed if less than ten years, seat demotion was not decreed. Therefore, an inquiry was made to Edo asking whether the usual procedure would apply when ten years were completed, and on May 25th of the same year, by express messenger, the inquiry was completed and word came from Edo that it should be decreed as such.
However, even on the last day of the 12th month of the ninth year, there would be seat demotion, but if it becomes the New Year of the tenth year, seat demotion does not occur.

1. In the first month of Bunsei 11, rat year, what Inner Scribe Higuchi Teisuke conveyed was as follows:
The meaning of "exceptional" for those who served as personal attendants or scribes is that regardless of years, if there were those among the generations of that house who served in these two roles, seat demotion should not be decreed. Moreover, "a hundred years ago" means that if a hundred years have passed since being granted sequential seating, there should be no seat demotion.

1. Kyoho 2, cock year, 2nd month, 8th day: Due to Honda Magotaro's recent death, since Okura-kata is also young, regarding governance matters, it was decreed that Honda Shume and Honda Minbu should consult together.
The above matter is said to be temporary, with further details in records. However, at this time Okura-kata was 27 years old.
1. Same [year] 13th, monkey year, 10th month, 13th day: All senior councilors went to Honda Mannosuke's residence, succession was decreed without change, and since Fuchu was entrusted as is, matters of governance should be ordered, which was conveyed to Honda Nuinodono-kata. Being young, Honda Shuri-kata was appointed as guardian, which was also conveyed. The next day, Nuinodono-kata, the monthly duty officer, conveyed to Gizaemon that we should understand this matter. However, when Okura-kata died, there were matters conveyed to retainers, which are attached to the suspension clause.
1. Bunsei 5, horse year: Chamberlain Watanabe Jurozaemon died of illness in Edo, with no temporary adoptive heir and house extinction. For name succession, Sasa Jihyogo's second son Kiyoshi was granted 200 koku and appointed to fixed guard external heir seat.
