現代語訳
鞠山藩と改称していただきますよう
仰せ付けくださいますことをお願い申し上げます。右の件について
お聞き届けくださいましたならば、名前と実態が
一致し、自然と両藩の支配所の境界が
明確になり、今後不都合が生じることは
ないものと有り難く存じます。今後ともよろしく
お許し容認くださいますよう、伏してお願い申し上げ、
懇願いたします。頓首謹言

we humbly request that you graciously order
our domain to be renamed as Maruyama Domain. If you would kindly
approve this request,
the name and reality would be in harmony, and naturally the boundaries between the jurisdictions of both domains would become
clear, ensuring that no inconveniences will
arise in the future, for which we would be most grateful. We humbly request that you continue to
grant your gracious permission and approval,
and earnestly petition you for this favor. With utmost respect and humble words.
