現代語訳

中山王が館に到り儀仗を整える

七月二十六日。
冊封の礼が成り、中山世曽孫尚敬が初めて中山王と称し、吉日を選んで祖廟に告げた。

八月二日。国中の各島の臣民の賀を受け終わり、初九日に中山王が自ら天使館に詣でて冊封を謝した。儀仗を盛んにし、官僚を備え、礼を成して帰った。その初めて府門を出る時、十六人の肩輿に乗った。長虹堤を過ぎ、孔廟の南に至り、少し別館に駐まって衣を替え、輿夫をその半分に減らし、初めて天使館に至った。帰りに別館に至り、再び衣を替え、儀従は前のように府第に帰った。今見るところは、前の使臣汪楫の記録したものと少し異なる。略して後に載せる。

The King of Chuzan Arrives at the Hall with Ceremonial Guard

Twenty-sixth day of the seventh month.
The investiture ceremony was completed, and the great-great-grandson of Chuzan, Sho Kei, first took the title of King of Chuzan, choosing an auspicious day to announce this to the ancestral shrine.

Second day of the eighth month. Having finished receiving congratulations from the subjects and people of all islands in the kingdom, on the ninth day the King of Chuzan personally visited the Chinese Imperial Envoys' Hall to express gratitude for the investiture. He arranged an elaborate ceremonial guard, assembled his officials, completed the ritual, and returned. When he first departed from the palace gate, he rode in a palanquin carried by sixteen men. After passing Chouko Bridge and reaching the south of the Confucian temple, he briefly stopped at a separate building to change clothes and reduced the palanquin bearers to half their number before finally arriving at the Imperial Envoys' Hall. On his return to the separate building, he again changed clothes, and the ceremonial procession returned to the palace as before. What I observe now differs slightly from what was recorded by the previous envoy Wang Ji. I record it briefly below.
