重陽の宴

龍潭は王宮の北にあり、円覚寺の西に位置する。長さは半里に満たず、広さは数十畝である。水は澄んで静かに流れ、円覚寺前の蓮池と通じている。瑞泉の下流が集まる所である。南岸を神岳とし、バショウの木が密生して、太陽や月も見えない。碧い潭を覆い映している。岸には余地がない。北岸の長堤の上には、カキ殻の壁が城壁に連なり、皆大きな一族が住んでいる。東西にまたがって小橋があり、水路を通って田に入る。東岸は尖った埠頭が突き出て、潭の中にまたがっている。花木が森のように立ち並び、三面が水に臨んでいる。重陽の宴では龍舟の競技を行い、この埠頭の上に座席を設ける。

まず埠頭の上に木の楼閣を設け、彩りを数重に結び、フェルトの席を四周に敷く。王は客を招いて座が定まる。龍舟は三艘。様式は福州で見たものとほぼ同じである。舟の長さは三丈余り、櫂は二十八本

The Double Ninth Festival Banquet

Dragon Pond is located north of the royal palace, to the west of Engaku-ji Temple. It is less than half a ri in length and covers several dozen mu in area. The water is clear and flows quietly, connecting with the lotus pond in front of Engaku-ji Temple. This is where the downstream waters of Zuisen converge. The southern bank is called Sacred Peak, densely covered with banana trees so thick that neither sun nor moon can be seen through them. They cast their reflection over the blue pond. There is no spare space along the shore. On the long embankment of the northern bank, oyster shell walls connect to the ramparts, all inhabited by great clans. A small bridge spans east to west, with waterways flowing into the fields. The eastern shore has a pointed wharf jutting out into the middle of the pond. Flowering trees stand like a forest, with three sides facing the water. For the Double Ninth Festival banquet, dragon boat races are held, with seating arranged on top of this wharf.

First, a wooden pavilion is erected on the wharf, decorated with colorful streamers in multiple layers, with felt mats spread around all four sides. The king invites the guests and seating is arranged. There are three dragon boats. Their style is roughly the same as those seen in Fuzhou.
