甚六だんだん成長してきたので、ようやく手習いに通わせることにしたけれども、月の一日の休みから二十五日を待ちかね、天神様のあづき餅ばかりを楽しみにして手習いをして、とかく休みを楽しみにする。師匠様が風邪を引くと喜んで何でも休むつもりでいる。手習いは坂で車を押すようなものだと言うけれども、机にかかると船ばかり漕いでいる。後の者に追い抜かれても構わず、草紙絵は習わないで顔ばかり習い、行儀が悪くて師匠様の
