恭敬スルヿ限ナシ。其後生身ニシテ天上ニ升リ
去ル。然ル時ハ。此法ヲ除キテ。別ニ人ヲ救フノ道
ナシ。今生ハ一夢ノ中ナリ。早ク此宗旨ニ歸スベ
シト。此法ヲ說ク時。ソノ聽法ノ人。宗門ニ歸セン
ヿヲ請フ爰ニ於テバテレン授ノ法ヲ行フ。始テ
宗徒ニ成ル人ノ額ノ上ニ。白キ手巾ヲ置キ。手ニ
蝋燭ヲ持チ。口ノ中ニ鹽ヲ入レテ。バテレン水ヲ
取テ。其人ノ頂上ニ灌ク。誦文アリ。又バテレンノ
室ニ入レテ。懴悔ヲ投ス。此時ニ麥ノ餅ヲアトウ。
是ヲ受テ食ス又蒲萄酒ヲ與フ。コレヲ受テ飮ム
現代語訳
恭敬することは限りがない。その後生身にして天上に昇り去った。そうであるならば、この法を除いて、別に人を救う道はない。今生は一夢の中である。早くこの宗旨に帰すべしと。この法を説く時、その聴法の人が宗門に帰せんことを請う。ここにおいてバテレンは授法を行う。初めて宗徒になる人の額の上に白い手巾を置き、手に蝋燭を持たせ、口の中に塩を入れて、バテレンは水を取って、その人の頂上に灌ぐ。誦文がある。またバテレンの室に入れて、懺悔を投じさせる。この時に麦の餅をあとう（与える）。これを受けて食す。また葡萄酒を与える。これを受けて飲む。
英語訳
[The people's] reverence was without limit. Afterwards, [Christ] ascended to heaven in his living body. If this is so, then apart from this law, there is no other way to save people. This present life is but a dream. One should quickly convert to this doctrine. When preaching this law, those who listen to the teachings request to enter the religious sect. At this point, the Padre performs the ritual of initiation. On the forehead of a person becoming a believer for the first time, [the Padre] places a white cloth, has them hold a candle in their hand, puts salt in their mouth, and the Padre takes water and pours it on the person's head. There are recited prayers. Also, [the person] enters the Padre's room and makes confession. At this time, [the Padre] gives wheat bread. [The person] receives this and eats it. [The Padre] also gives grape wine. [The person] receives this and drinks it.
