強訴の沙汰が延引すれば、また神輿などを捧げて来るであろう。そうなれば京都の騒動となるであろう。早く信長へ命じられるべきである」として、花山院中納言広政を以て山門奏状の趣旨を信長へ命じられた。信長は不快であったけれども、勅命に従い永禄寺を改めて南蛮寺と号した。そこで江州甲賀郡にて五百石の地を寄附された。寺の建築構造や荘厳さは目を驚かせるものであった。また「ウルガン一人では弘法の力に叶わない。本国より数人召し呼ぶべし」と命じられた。ウルガンは悦んで本国へ申し送った。そもそも南蛮切支丹国というのは、国号をイスパニア《並びにポルトガル、カステラ》といい、海上日本からの里程一万二千余
