里、世界の図を以て見る時は、唐土・日本よりは西方に当たる国なり。然るに南蛮と号するは、この国の従属のアマカハ・ルスン等、日本の南方に当たれり。故に南蛮と号する者か。アマカハ・ルスン等は日本より里程八百里にて、殊に日本より南に当たり、イスパニアの隣国にも非ずして、その国の従属たり。ーハアマカハ・呂宋等は守護もなき島なる故、南蛮人往々にその島に船を止め、今は南蛮人多く往居するが故に類属の国なりと云えり。イスパニア隣国にイングレスと云う国あり《アングリア・イングリアとも》。
