蛮人らは若狭国より近江国海津へ至り、船を湖上に浮かべて大津に至り、京都南蛮寺に入ってポルトガル人に謁見し、信長へ注進す。信長喜んで安土へ召し呼ばれる。渡来の南蛮人は妙本寺へ入って命を待つ。かくて南蛮人三人が登城して信長に拝謁す。その礼式はポルトガル人パードレが通りなり。この度渡来のポルトガル人パードレはポルトガル人より背丈高きこと一尺五寸、色青く、髪髭黄色なり。衣類はポルトガル人のごとくアイト(麻布)なり。両イルマンは医術・外治ともに奇妙なり。《最初ポルトガル人が安土へ来りし時より》《南蛮人奏者は長谷川竹に命せらる》今般は六種の捧げ物あり。

英語訳

The barbarians traveled from Wakasa Province to Kaizu in Ōmi Province, floated their ships on the lake and reached Ōtsu, entered the Southern Barbarian temple in Kyoto, had an audience with the Portuguese, and reported to Nobunaga. Nobunaga was pleased and summoned them to Azuchi. The arrived Southern Barbarians entered Myōhonji temple and awaited orders. Thus three Southern Barbarians ascended to the castle and had an audience with Nobunaga. Their ceremonial etiquette followed the Portuguese Padre manner. The Portuguese Padre who arrived this time was one shaku and five sun taller than the Portuguese, with a pale complexion and yellow hair and beard. His clothing was of aito (linen cloth) like the Portuguese.
