佗國風說區々也故ニ諸國ノ大病難病ニ侵サレ
貧賤ニテ我力ニ不叶者或ハ諸醫ノ療養ニ治ス
ルヿ能ハサル者貴賤共ニ南蠻寺ニ羣集スルヿ
不斜ケリコリヤリイス兩イルマン悉ク之ヲ南
蠻寺ニ留メテ良藥ヲ施シ醫療半ニ快復スル病
現代語訳
衣服を与えてこれを暖め療養させたところ、昨日の乞食が今日は唐織の衣服を身にまとい、病も自然と心地よく快復した例が多い。とりわけ癩瘡（らいそう）等の難病も南蛮流の外科療法を受け、数ヶ月を経て全快し、「真の仏菩薩が今世に出現して救世済度し給うのだ」と近国他国で様々な風説が立った。そのため諸国の大病・難病に侵され、貧賤で自分の力では治療が叶わない者、あるいは諸医の療養では治すことができない者が、貴賤を問わず南蛮寺に群集することが甚だしかった。コリャリイス両イルマンは、これらすべてを南蛮寺に留めて良薬を施し、医療によって半数が快復する病気を治した。

They provided clothing to warm them and gave them medical treatment. As a result, beggars from yesterday were wearing Chinese brocade clothing today, and there were many cases where their diseases naturally recovered pleasantly. Particularly, even incurable diseases like leprosy were treated with Southern Barbarian surgical methods, and after several months they were completely cured. Various rumors spread in nearby and distant provinces that "true Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have appeared in this world to save and deliver people." Therefore, people from various provinces who were afflicted with serious and incurable diseases—those who were poor and lowly and could not afford treatment with their own means, or those who could not be cured by the medical treatment of various doctors—flocked to the Southern Barbarian temple regardless of their social status. The two Irmãos, Correia and [another], kept all of these people at the Southern Barbarian temple, administered good medicines, and cured diseases that had a fifty percent recovery rate through medical treatment.
