In this manner, they made them perform religious practices for one seven-day period, and the two Irmãos led these people to the Buddha hall. It was beautiful and magnificent, inlaid with gold and silver, with banners of gold brocade and silk and canopies fluttering, famous incenses wafting through the air, shining brilliantly—truly a place that made one think this must be what the seven-jeweled magnificence of Paradise looks like. The two Padres, dressed in golden brocade robes, appeared in the Buddha hall, bestowed mantras again, finished expounding the religious law of the Heavenly Emperor, and made them worship the two Padres.
