謝徳のために申し触れたので、南蛮寺へ来集することは雲霞のようであった。このように群集する者共を、破天連イルマンと彼の三人の者共、その他この寺に渡世する門徒共をして、一々に点検して薬を与え、衣服を与え、また宿に残された父母妻子で渡世に難儀する族には、彼の病人が南蛮寺にて療養の間は、それぞれに助力を施したので、南蛮寺の門徒は日を追って夥しくなった。
《割書：或る説には、病人が南蛮寺にて養生の間は、その家内の者は赤子に至るまで一人につき金一分ずつを毎日与えたので、これを見聞きする者で無病の者も、かかる病気だの何様の煩いだといって来て、その施金を貰った。そうであるとはいえ、南蛮寺にて聊かもこれを咎めず、門徒とさえなれば普く金銀を与えたということである。》

Because they proclaimed this in gratitude, people flocked to the Nanban temple like clouds and mist. The Padre Irmão, those three men, and other disciples residing at this temple examined each of these crowds one by one, giving them medicine and clothing. For the parents, wives, and children left at home who faced hardships in making a living, they provided assistance to each family while the patients were receiving treatment at the Nanban temple. As a result, the disciples of the Nanban temple grew numerous day by day.
