Though the language may be crude and rustic, one can roughly discern the cunning intentions of these evil followers. As the military strategist says, "Know your enemy and know yourself, and you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles." Now, by penetrating their malicious hearts and clearly observing their treacherous schemes, we should attack them with verbal condemnation and written criticism, causing the chief of these demons to faint with fear. Then we should burn their books and eradicate all traces of them. Written on the seventh day of the first month of the year of the Earth Dog, beneath the scholarly window of the Kokyō Hall.
