卵ヲ掌ニ握テ手ヲ開ケハ介ヲ割リ雛子ト成テ

庭ニ富士山ヲ出サセテ見ハヤト所望アリケレ
ハ暫ク障子ヲサシテ外トヘ出テ忽障子ヲ開ケ
ハ庭上ニ富士山現ス上下奇異ノ思ヲナシテア
ツト感ス又障子ヲサシテ暫シテ障子ヲ開ケハ
近江湖水ノ八景出現ス或堺ノ浦須磨明石等悉
クウツシ出ス堂上堂下如何ナル神仙ヤラント
兩人ヲ怪シム秀吉公渠等力術ニ難叶ヿヲ思惟

蟻のように動き出て段々に成長し花咲き実る。また鶏卵を掌に握って手を開けば殻を割り雛子となって見る内に鶏となり声を発して啼く。また簾中より御庭に富士山を出させて見せよとの所望があったところ、暫く障子を差して外へ出て忽ち障子を開けば庭上に富士山現れる。上下奇異の思いをなしてあっと感嘆する。また障子を差して暫くして障子を開けば近江湖水の八景出現する。或いは堺の浦、須磨、明石等悉く映し出す。堂上堂下、如何なる神仙やらんと両人を怪しむ。秀吉公、彼等の力術に叶い難きことを思惟し
英語訳
[The grains] began to move like ants, gradually growing, blooming flowers and bearing fruit. Also, when they grasped a chicken egg in their palm and opened their hand, the shell would crack and it would become a chick, and while watching, it would become a chicken and cry out with its voice. When there was a request to "make Mount Fuji appear in the garden from behind the bamboo blinds," they briefly drew the sliding doors shut and went outside, then suddenly opened the doors, whereupon Mount Fuji appeared in the garden. Those above and below were filled with wonder and gasped "Ah!" in amazement. Again they drew the sliding doors shut, and after a while when they opened them, the eight scenic views of Lake Ōmi appeared. At times they projected Sakai Bay, Suma, Akashi, and other places in their entirety. Those in the hall, both high and low ranking, wondered what manner of immortal sages these two men might be. Lord Hideyoshi pondered matters that would be difficult to match their magical arts
