This book is a general overview of a work called "Kirishitan Kongen-ki" (Record of Christian Origins). At the beginning of that book, it explains the geography of Christian countries, stating that the great king of a country called "Kōshinbi," in order to seize Japan, sent one of his retainers called "Kyoki Daijin" (Great Minister Kyoki) to a country called "Kirishitan" three thousand ri to the west. In that country, on a peak called "Tenrin-mine," there was a tree called sandalwood, and there lived "Vulcan" and "Frater" - padres who had mastered the doctrine called "Hizō-shū" (Secret Doctrine) through practice and attained supernatural powers.
