越中守病気大切 御尋
上使之類例ニ而大方ハ取調ニ相成候事
今日右伺不相済候得は翌日ニ相成候儀も有之哉
近頃彦根えも右様之儀有之
上使之用意之処差掛り翌日と申二も相成候由【以上朱書】

悪化し、今朝病気が重篤である旨を御用番の和泉守殿に
お届けし、御奏者番に急いで
上使が仰せ渡された
左衛門尉の家に御奏者番が
上使として派遣される例はない。天保九年十一月十一日に松平
越中守が病気重篤の際の お尋ね
上使の類例で大方は調査が済んでいる事
今日、右の件の伺いが済まなければ翌日になることもあるだろうか
近頃彦根でも右のような事があった

[From the sixth line]
1. Regarding Saemon-no-jō, while he was serving his duty stationed at the Tamari room, his illness gradually
worsened, and this morning it was reported to Izumi-no-kami, who was on duty, that his condition had become critical.
The matter was urgently reported to the Goshōsaban, and
an imperial envoy was dispatched.
To Saemon-no-jō's residence, a Goshōsaban was sent
as an imperial envoy, though there is no precedent for this. On the 11th day of the 11th month of Tenpō 9, when Matsudaira
Etchū-no-kami was critically ill, there was an inquiry.
Most cases have been investigated based on precedents of imperial envoys.
If today's inquiry is not completed, it may extend to tomorrow.
Recently, there was a similar case in Hikone.
When preparations for the imperial envoy were underway, it was postponed to the next day. [Above in red ink]
