【巻上三十七丁裏】
○銭かわは相（さう）場（は）てかねをわるといふ
百よりうちは四かけて引
┃四〆三百二十四文有時一貫文に付十八匁のとき
みきのせにに銀いかほとそと問（とう）とき
○銀七拾七匁八分五りに成といふ
法に百よりうちの二十四文に四をかけて
加入申候 先廿文に二四の八と加入 又四文に
四四十六と加入申時四貫三百二十五文に

┃銀本百弐拾四匁かり申時 二わり五分にして
この銀の本利共になにほとそと問（とう）とき
○銀百五拾五匁に成といふ
法に百五十五匁を右に置（をき）左に二五とをきて
此二五のうへに十をくわへ置時十二五と成を
これを百弐拾四匁にかくれは右の銀としるる也
┃銀本利共に合百五拾五匁有 利は二わり五分也
右の銀の内利二わり五分引て本銀何ほとと問
○本銀百二拾四匁になるといふ

○銭替えは相場で金を割るという
百より内（小さい端数）は四をかけて引く
┃四貫三百二十四文がある時、一貫文につき十八匁の時、
右の銭に銀はどれほどかと問う時に
○銀七十七匁八分五厘になるという
計算法では、百より内（端数）の二十四文に四をかけて
加え入れる。まず二十文に二四の八を加え入れ、また四文に
四四の十六を加え入れる時、四貫三百二十五文に
なる。これに相場十八匁をかければ、銀七十七匁
八分五厘になると知るべし。

《題：第十二 万利足の事》
┃銀本金百二十四匁を借りる時、二割五分にして、
この銀の本利合わせてどれほどかと問う時に
○銀百五十五匁になるという
計算法では、百五十五匁を右に置き、左に二五と置いて、
この二五の上に十を加えて置く時、十二・五となるを、
これを百二十四匁にかければ右の銀と知れる也。
┃銀の本利合わせて百五十五匁ある。利は二割五分也。
右の銀のうちから利二割五分を引いて本銀はどれほどかと問う

○For coin exchange, divide the money by the market rate.
For fractions under one hundred, multiply by four and subtract.
┃When there are 4 kan 324 mon of coins, at a rate of 18 monme per 1 kan-mon, when asked how much silver the coins amount to:
○It becomes 77 monme 8 bu 5 rin of silver.
In the calculation method: multiply the fractional amount under one hundred — 24 mon — by four and add it in. First, add "two-four eight" to the 20 mon, then add "four-four sixteen" to the 4 mon; at this point it becomes 4 kan 325 mon. Multiplying this by the exchange rate of 18 monme gives 77 monme 8 bu 5 rin of silver.

《Title: Section 12 — On Calculating Interest》
┃When 124 monme of principal silver is borrowed, at a rate of 25%, when asked how much the silver amounts to in principal and interest combined:
○It becomes 155 monme of silver.
In the calculation method: place 155 monme on the right, place 25 on the left, and add 10 above this 25, making it 12.5. Multiplying 124 monme by this gives the silver amount on the right.
┃When the principal and interest of silver combined amounts to 155 monme, and the interest rate is 25%: when asked how much the principal silver is after subtracting the 25% interest from the silver on the right:
○The principal silver becomes 124 monme.
