┃本米八十七石有とき二わりにして三年の間の
本利共になにほとそととう時

when asked what the combined principal and interest amounts to:
○It becomes 150 koku 3 to 3 shō 6 gō
In the calculation method: place 1.2 (twelve) on the left, and multiply 87 koku by 1.2 three times,
and this should be known as the combined principal and interest rice over three years.
1. When there are 150 koku 3 to 3 shō 6 gō of combined principal and interest rice,
with an interest rate of 2 wari over 3 years, when asked what the principal is:
○The principal rice becomes 87 koku
In the calculation method: place 150 koku 3 to 3 shō 6 gō on the right,
divide by 1.2 three times, and this should be known as the principal rice.

with the first year at 5 wari (50%), the second year at 4 wari 5 bu (45%),
and the third year at 3 wari (30%), when asked what the combined principal and interest

In the calculation method: first multiply the principal 35 koku by 1.5 (fifteen), then
multiply by 1.45 (fourteen-five), then multiply by 1.3 (thirteen),
and 98 koku 9 to 6 shō 2 gō 5 shaku should be known.
