舟一そうに米弐百五拾石つみていつかたへ成共
つくる時うん賃百石に付七石つつ也弐百五拾石の
内にてはらふ時運ちん米なにほとそと問時
○運賃拾六石三斗五升五合壱勺四才といふ
法に二百五拾石と右にをきて七石をかくれは
一七五になる又左に百七石と置（おき）てこれにて
右の一七五をわれは拾六石三斗五升五合壱勺
四才としるへし
┃又運賃も米の高も右のことくをなしものにて
現代語訳
一丈五尺二寸となる。残りの二人の分配も
この考え方と同じ方法で知るべし。
《第十五章 船の運賃の事》
船一艘に米二百五十石を積んで、どこへでも
運ぶ時、運賃は百石につき七石ずつである。二百五十石の
代金の内から支払う時、運賃米はどれほどかと問う時は
○運賃十六石三斗五升五合一勺四才という
計算方法：二百五十石を右に置いて、七石をかけると
一七五〇になる。また左に百七石と置いて、これで
右の一七五〇を割ると、十六石三斗五升五合一勺
四才と知るべし。
┃また運賃も米の価格も、右のように同じ方法で計算するものである

《Chapter 15: On Ship Transportation Fees》
When a ship loads 250 koku of rice and
transports it anywhere,
the transportation fee is 7 koku per 100 koku. When paying from within the value of the 250 koku,
if asked how much rice should be paid as transportation fee:
○The transportation fee is 16 koku 3 to 5 shō 5 gō 1 shaku 4 sai
Calculation method: Place 250 koku on the right, multiply by 7 koku to get
1750. Also place 107 koku on the left, and divide
the 1750 on the right by this to get 16 koku 3 to 5 shō 5 gō 1 shaku
4 sai, as should be known.
