一 四寸薄千五百／枚（まい）を三寸にまわしてなにほとと
とうときに
○三寸薄二千六百六十六枚六分六りといふ
法に四寸を左右にをきかくれは十六坪になる
これに四寸薄千五百まいかくれは二万四千坪に
なるなり これを右にへちに置（おき）○又ひたりに
三寸を左右にをきてかくれは九坪に成 是にて
右の二万四千坪を刻は二千六百六十六枚六分

一 四寸薄（箔）千五百枚を三寸（の箔）に換算するとどれほどになるかと問う時に、
○三寸薄二千六百六十六枚六分六厘という。
計算法：四寸を左右に置いて掛けると十六坪になる。
これに四寸薄千五百枚を掛けると二万四千坪になる。これを右に別に置く。○また左に三寸を左右に置いて掛けると九坪になる。これで右の二万四千坪を割ると、二千六百六十六枚六分六厘と分かる。

1. When one asks how many 3-sun foil sheets are equivalent to 1,500 sheets of 4-sun foil:
○The answer is 2,666 sheets, 6 bu, 6 rin of 3-sun foil.
Method: Place 4 sun on both the left and right sides and multiply them together, giving 16 tsubo (square units). Multiply this by 1,500 sheets of 4-sun foil, yielding 24,000 tsubo. Set this aside on the right. ○Next, on the left, place 3 sun on both sides and multiply, giving 9 tsubo. Divide the right-hand value of 24,000 tsubo by this, and the result is 2,666 sheets, 6 bu, 6 rin.
