【巻下二十三ノ四丁裏】
法にひたりに一一二五と置（をき）てこれにて右の
六寸をわる時にみきのことくとしるへし
一 又五寸三分三り三毛四方ある角をまる木に
なしてなにほとになるそととふ時は
○六寸のまる木になるといふ
法 ひたりに一一二五と置（おき）これを右の五寸三分
三り三毛にかくれは六寸としるへし
一 六寸角の二間木に付四匁二分つゝにうるときに
平物のはゝ二尺にあつさ八寸五分長は三間有

6寸を割るときに、右のごとくと知るべし。
一 また5寸3分3厘3毛四方ある角材を丸太材に
加工していくらになるかと問うとき：
○6寸の丸太材になるという
計算法：左（算盤）に1125と置き、これを右の5寸3分
3厘3毛に掛けると6寸と知るべし。
一 6寸角の2間材を1本につき4匁2分ずつで売るときに、
平物（板材）の幅2尺、厚さ8寸5分、長さ3間あり、
これを6寸角2間材の値段にして平物は

いくらに当たるかと問うとき：
○平物の代金は29匁7分5厘に当たるという
計算法：平物の厚さ8寸5分に幅2尺を掛けると
1尺7寸（17）となる。これに長さ3間を掛けると51となる。
これに4匁2分を掛けると2142となる。これを
右（算盤の右）に別に置く。左に6寸を左右に置いて
掛けると36となる。これに2間を掛けると72となる。
これで右の2142を割るときに
29匁7分5厘と知るべし。
一 皮縄（ひわた）200束あるとき、1締めというのが5尺縄で

Method: Place 1125 on the left (of the abacus), and multiply it by the 5 sun 3 bu 3 rin 3 mō on the right to obtain 6 sun.
1. When 6-sun square, 2-ken lumber is sold at 4 monme 2 bu per piece, and a flat board (hira-mono) has width 2 shaku, thickness 8 sun 5 bu, and length 3 ken, what would the value of this flat board be, calculated at the same rate as the 6-sun square 2-ken lumber?
○The price of the flat board amounts to 29 monme 7 bu 5 rin
Method: Multiply the flat board's thickness of 8 sun 5 bu by the width of 2 shaku to get 17 (= 1 shaku 7 sun). Multiply this by the length of 3 ken to get 51. Multiply this by 4 monme 2 bu to get 2,142. Set this aside on the right (of the abacus). Place 6 sun on both sides on the left and multiply to get 36. Multiply this by 2 ken to get 72. Divide the 2,142 on the right by 72 to obtain 29 monme 7 bu 5 rin.
