あるひは一尺八寸なわにて一そくを一匁つつに

【巻下二十八丁裏】
あるいは、1尺8寸縄で1束を1匁ずつに買うとき、2尺縄で1束はいくらにあたるかと問うとき、
○2匁4分6厘9毛にあたるなり。
計算法：2割3分4厘5毛（前頁の「太さの割増」）にこれに10を加えると、12.345となる。これに2匁を掛けると右のとおりと知れる。
また、1尺8寸に3寸足りないとき（1尺5寸の縄）は、4割4分に10を加えると14.4となる。これで2匁を割ると、1匁3分8厘8毛と知るべし。

Alternatively, when one bundle of bamboo with a circumference of 1 shaku 8 sun is purchased at 1 momme per bundle, and one asks how much a bundle with a 2-shaku circumference would cost:
○It amounts to 2 momme 4 bu 6 rin 9 mō.
The method: Take 2 wari 3 bu 4 rin 5 mō (the proportional thickness difference from the previous page), add 10 to it to get 12.345, then multiply this by 2 momme to arrive at the answer as stated above.
Furthermore, when the circumference is 3 sun short of 1 shaku 8 sun (i.e., a rope of 1 shaku 5 sun), add 10 to 4 wari 4 bu to get 14.4. Divide 2 momme by this, and one should know the answer to be 1 momme 3 bu 8 rin 8 mō.
