同じ。寸分もまた同様である。尺の名前をメシヤ又は○ルウンとも言う。何尺の尺の名前をスケットと言う。寸をインテと言い、分をテンサと言う。また一○は日本の里程で十四町に当たる。○アメリカと天竺（インド）の間、西紅海の丘辺にテレシコフという国がある。この国の人は女房を数多く娶る。地面一反あれば妻一人を娶り、二反あれば妻二人である。また十反あれば、その妻は何人いても皆焼死して夫と一緒に葬る国法だという。このことはアメリカ人が各国の風俗を表した書籍で見たと言う。○鯨船を新造する時は大抵銀三百枚程かかると言う。大抵一ヶ年位かかる。もちろん多額の銀がかかる時は半年でも造り上げる。○畑作物の内で、大根は漸くこの頃種が渡って、大指位の大きさに出来るのを人々が珍しがって見回っている。○軍艦の大船を三段船と言う。石火矢（大砲）七○挺を三段にして両側へ撃つような仕掛けである。檣三本、帆三十三反、水主五百九十人が乗る。
