　　御留守居・浅井源左衛門（政之）をもって御口上書を差し出された。

Item: On the eighteenth day of the third month, regarding Honda Kuranosuke (Tomi-tsugu/Fushō) traveling by palanquin as far as the dismounting point (gesha) when proceeding to the castle for his audience, and further regarding the use of a long-handled umbrella (nagae no kasa) on rainy days, a verbal memorandum (kōjō-gaki) was submitted via messenger — the resident deputy Asai Genzaemon (Masayuki) — to the Inspector (o-metsuke) Lord Abe Kazue-no-kami.
