方残り少く致焼失回復之程無覚束候ニ付
此度市中取続往々御城下繁昌之為め潤
緩掛被 仰付緩方之儀左之通り御用捨之
品被 仰出候
一 弁才天橋向往来町続ニ相成候様可致候
繁昌之為め家居望者へは地所幷木材
家作ニ応し可被之条可願出候此上商
売相始め度ものは右場所へ願出商売可

米価をはじめ諸品が追々高値となり、町方の商売が全て
衰微し、自然と資金繰りが困難な状況にある上に、今夏中に町方の
残りの部分も少なからず焼失し、回復の見込みが立たない状況につき、
この度市中の継続と将来の御城下繁栄のため、救済
担当が仰せ付けられ、救済策の件について左の通り御用捨の
品々が仰せ出されました
一 弁才天橋向から往来町まで続くようにいたすべく候
繁栄のため家屋建設希望者へは土地並びに木材を
家作に応じて与えられる条件で願い出るべく候。この上商売を
始めたい者は右の場所へ願い出て商売を

Official Notice Regarding Relief Measures
In the past year of Tenpō 5 (1834), the Year of the Horse, the town area was destroyed by fire, and since then poor harvests continued, with rice prices and various goods gradually becoming expensive. All commerce in the town area declined, naturally creating financial difficulties. Furthermore, this summer the remaining parts of the town area also suffered considerable fire damage, and recovery prospects are uncertain. Therefore, to maintain the city and ensure future prosperity of the castle town, relief officials have been appointed, and the following relief measures and exemptions have been announced:
Article 1: [The area] from Benzaiten Bridge to Ōrai-machi should be made continuous.
For the sake of prosperity, to those who wish to build houses, land as well as lumber
will be provided according to the house construction, so applications should be submitted. Furthermore, those who wish to
start businesses should apply at the aforementioned location to conduct business
