向等え米金等救として夫々差遣
右之内回向院は一躰無檀無縁之
寺院ニ候処今般之地震ニ付相果候
もの共夥敷候処回向料等も不申請
葬遣長光寺は貧寺ニ候処平生
身持等も宜敷此度地震ニ付而は
檀家窮民共え金五拾疋宛施遣其上
死亡之もの共回向料等一切不申請葬遣
候段格別奇特之ものニ付回向院え

右記は今回の地震について特に優れた行いをした者たちです。
内密に調査したところ、前述の霊巌寺外
九ヶ寺の門前の人々または檀家で懇意の
人々などへ米や金銭等を救助として それぞれ送りました。
右記のうち回向院は元来檀家を持たず縁故のない
寺院ですが、今回の地震について亡くなった
人々が非常に多くいたところ、回向料等も請求せず
葬儀を行いました。長光寺は貧しい寺ですが、平常
身の持ち方等も良く、この度の地震については
檀家の窮民たちへ金五十疋ずつ施しを行い、その上
死亡した人々の回向料等を一切請求せず葬儀を行った
ことは格別に優れた行いであるため、回向院へ

The above are those who performed particularly meritorious deeds regarding this recent earthquake.
Upon conducting a confidential investigation, the aforementioned Reigan-ji Temple and
nine other temples sent rice, money, and other aid to
people living in front of their gates or parishioners with close relationships.
Among the above, Ekoin Temple is originally a
temple without parishioners or connections, but regarding this earthquake, there were
very many people who died, and the temple conducted
funeral services without requesting memorial fees. Chokoji Temple is a poor temple, but in ordinary times
their conduct has been good, and regarding this earthquake
they provided aid of fifty hiki of money each to impoverished parishioners, and furthermore
conducted funeral services for the deceased without requesting any memorial fees whatsoever.
