Furthermore, there have been cases where reward silver was bestowed upon each, or praise was given at the discretion of authorities. As we have heard that there are also samurai families and temples that have provided relief and made commendable arrangements, we first investigated the cases during the current tenth month while our office was on monthly duty, and found them to be as listed in the attached document. Regarding whether there have been those who provided relief during major fires or floods in the past, there appear to be precedents of praise for samurai families and such.
