候につき取り調べ候ところ、別紙の通りござい候。右は銘々住居破損致し候中、別して奇特の筋にこれあり、褒貶の儀はその主人々にて沙汰仕り候儀、勿論にござい候得ども、一家中限りの儀にもこれなく、市中の者共へ施し差し遣わし候儀につき称遣し候はば、この後万一大火その外凶年饑饉歳等の節、武士家来にて施し差し出し候向き相増し申すべきや。先例はござい候得ども、それぞれ称し遣わし申したく候。

Upon investigation of this matter, the details are as shown in the attached document. While their residences were damaged, these acts were particularly meritorious. Although it is natural that matters of praise or censure should be handled by their respective masters, and this is not limited to single households, regarding the matter of providing relief to the people of the city, if we were to commend them, would the number of samurai retainers providing relief increase in the future in cases of great fires or years of poor harvests and famine? Although there are no precedents, we would like to commend each of them respectively.
Regarding samurai retainers who live in appropriate circumstances, previously they held town lots under women's names and such, but during the reforms of Tenpō 12 (1841), the Year of the Ox
