現代語訳

安永二年巳年五月
　武家の家来の咎の事、厳しく叱るまでは手限りで申し付け、押込以上は伺いに相成る儀、前々例これ有り、右の通りに候えども、いずれ元極の事これ有るべき旨と相調べ候ところ、相見えず候につき、山村信濃守方に承り合わせ候ところ、この通りの書留写し来候につき、以来見合わせのため留め置く。

　Regarding disciplinary matters for retainers of samurai houses: up to severe reprimands may be handled at the discretion of the master, but confinement and above require official inquiry. There are precedents for this from the past, and although this has been the practice, when investigating whether there should be fundamental principles governing such matters, no clear guidelines were found. Therefore, upon consulting with the Yamamoto Shinano-no-kami office, a copy of these records was provided. This is kept for future reference.
