一豆腐直段之義
御公儀様ゟ時々被仰付候通堅相守
可申候当所者不及申在々共ニ御定之通
壱銭も下直ニ売申間敷候事
一他荷売之義若出シ申候節ハ両方ゟ
申談出可申候我侭ニ出シ申間敷候事
為後目一札判形如件

現代語訳
一札の事
一、豆腐の値段について
お上から時々仰せ付けられる通り、堅く守り
申すべきです。当所はもちろん、在郷共々にお定めの通り
一銭も安値で売ってはなりません。
一、他への販売について、もし出荷する際は双方で
相談して出荷いたします。勝手に出荷してはなりません。
後日の証拠のため、一札に判を押して以上の通りとします。

Written Pledge
Article 1: Regarding the price of tofu
We shall strictly observe the prices as decreed from time to time by the government authorities. Both in this locality and in the surrounding rural areas, we shall not sell at prices even one sen below the established rates.
Article 2: Regarding sales to other areas, if we wish to ship goods, both parties shall consult and then proceed with shipment. We shall not ship goods arbitrarily.
For future reference, this pledge is sealed as stated above.
